HotValleyPRO is engineered to secure up to two commercial grade self-regulating heat cables and install in place of or over traditional valley flashing. HotValleyPRO provides option of a heated melt path down the valley and prevent ice dams from forming and structural problems as a result of water pooling behind ice dams.  The HotValleyPRO should be used in combination with  the HotEdge Rails to ensure that snow-melt draining down from the valleys does not have the chance to re-freeze and form ice dams in the lower portion of the valley closest to the roof edge, roof eaves, and overhangs.
